Are Woodstock Farms peanut butters linked to the recent salmonella outbreak? (January 2009)
Woodstock Farms peanut butters are not in any way associated with the recent salmonella tainted peanut butter manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America in their Blakely Georgia facility, nor have we been contacted by any official agencies concerning the outbreak and our peanut butter.
Our peanuts are roasted and processed in New York and Canada. All of the peanuts are tested upon receipt and Samonella testing is completed on all finished products.

How do I read the code on the cap or box?
There are many different coding schemes. Generally, if you see a three digit number, it is what is called a "Julien" date, that is, the day of the year number, so January 1st would be 001 and June 1 would be 181. This is often followed by a letter which indicates the production shift. For example:

308 = Julian date (translates to November 4th)
C = Run number
14:00 = Military time

Do Woodstock Farms products contain preservatives?
Woodstock Farms products do not contain artificial preservatives. Natural preservatives are used.
What do I do if my Woodstock Farms nut butter has oil on the top?
Separation in natural and organic nut butters is normal. Simply mix the oil back into the nut butter prior to first use. Separation will not occur after that.
What do I do if my Woodstock Farms Organic Sugar has hardened?
Hardness is natural and occurs if it is stored in cold temperatures or a dry environment. It is usually reversible if the product is covered with a damp clean cloth and gently heated.
Why are there slits in some of my Woodstock Farms Frozen products?
All of the Woodsock Farms frozen potato bags have slits for ventilation. They act as air vents so the bags don't become pillows.
